Brandon Michael Gesicki is a seasoned political strategist, public affairs expert, and campaign consultant with over 25 years of experience in California politics and government relations. As founder of Capitol Consulting Communications & Government Relations, he has led successful efforts for candidates, ballot measures, business coalitions, and public-sector clients statewide.
Early in his career, Brandon worked alongside former Assemblyman and County Supervisor Brooks Firestone and a then-rising political leader, Kevin McCarthy, gaining early exposure to coalition-building and campaign operations. He later served as Senior Advisor to State Senator and Lt. Governor Abel Maldonado, managing media, legislative affairs, and statewide policy initiatives during a pivotal era of reform.
Brandon has directed multimillion-dollar campaigns, raised over $20 million, and served as a spokesperson on major statewide initiatives—including the successful 2010 Open Primary reform (Proposition 14). For nearly 20 years, he also founded and operated one of California’s most successful taxpayer-focused voter guides, delivering millions of targeted mail pieces and influencing thousands of local and state elections.
His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, high-tech innovators, agricultural leaders, nonprofits, Charles T. Munger Jr., and leading advocacy coalitions.In 2016, Brandon was a National Delegate to the Republican National Convention and served in a leadership role on the Trump California Statewide Campaign Committee, helping shape outreach to rural, business, and agricultural communities.
Internationally, Brandon has trained political leaders in Central America, spoken at business-policy forums in Thailand, and advised clients on Southeast Asian investment, trade, and regulatory strategy.He is widely respected for his strategic clarity, discretion, and ability to deliver results at every level of public engagement.
